Health and Safety Guidance

What steps are we taking to ensure the health and safety of attendees and staff at this event?

As always, we are taking safety at our event seriously. We have been working closely with our venue and in accordance with government guidelines to implement the following measures.

New Policies and Procedures

The number of attendees at this event will be capped in line with government guidance.

On arrival, please follow the venue's NHS Track and Trace requirements.

Registration will be spread over 30 minutes to help avoid queuing.

The venue will take responsibility for ensuring that government advised cleaning and hygiene standards are followed. If you have questions about the steps the venue will be taking, you can contact the People's History Museum event team on 0161 838 9190.

Social distancing will be in place to ensure space between attendees when seated.

Please follow venue guidance on food and drink consumption during breaks.

How these were determined

We conducted a risk assessment based on the UK’s COVID-19 alert level 2 status. This risk assessment and our related policies will be updated should the UK’s alert level change before the event.

What's expected of attendees

Track and Trace: Please follow the venue's Track and Trace system on arrival. You will be required to complete a brief questionnaire before the event to tell us if you have any COVID-19 related symptoms.

Lateral Flow Test: We ask that attendees complete a rapid lateral flow test at home before the event. Do not attend if you receive a positive result.

If you are clinically extremely vulnerable or live with someone who is clinically extremely vulnerable then please adhere to government advice regarding going to work. More information can be found here.

Travel to the event: We encourage attendees travelling to this event by public transport to wear a mask and use social distancing. Where possible, please try to minimise use of public transport to the event. If you are travelling to this event from outside the UK, please follow UK government travel guidelines including any quarantine or testing regulations that are in place at the time of this event.

Moving around the venue: Please follow any one way systems in place at the venue and we encourage you to wear a mask where social distancing is difficult. Signs will be in place to guide you to the meeting room.

Please bring your own notepad and pen and don't share items with other delegates. We will be limiting hand out material.

Please don’t print your ticket from Eventbrite.

As the situation evolves, so will our approach to keeping you safe. We will continue to follow government guidelines carefully in the months leading up to this event and, as these are subject to change, ask that you check back here for updates. We thank you for your patience and flexibility.
